Animated rainwater system installation video

The Client

Ruukki Corporation is Finland’s largest manufacturer of steel constructions and products based in Helsinki. It produces and supplies metal components and systems to the construction and engineering industries. Their produce includes such items as cabins and chassis for heavy vehicles, hot rolled steel plates and coils, roofing sheets as well as building and bridge structures, high-quality roof, and rainwater systems.

The Problem

Ruukki has developed a top-notch domestic rainwater system and needed an animated video displaying the installation process.

The Solution - Explainer Video

Ruukki partnered with Indeform to create an animated 3D video, demonstrating the rainwater system installation process. We worked closely with the client to create sketches for the sequence of the installation steps and a script. Our 3D artists created 3D models of the parts and tools required to assemble the rainwater system. We then created a 3D video explainer which helps Ruukki to showcase the product. The video is a step by step installation guidance with clear actions that leave no place for misinterpretation.

Conclusion

Explainer videos are a great visual way to improve communication between manufacturers, suppliers, and construction companies or product consultants. A paper instruction may take a couple of pages to describe the process, whereas a video can show instructions clearly and understandably in just a few minutes.
